Hi!  We are David and Randi Howell and we moved here from Denver, CO in the summer of 2014.  Dave was born and raised in Salt Lake City, UT at the base of the Rocky Mountains. Randi was raised on an 8th generation family farm an hour and a half south of Towanda in Blue Mound, IL.

Dave has a degree in Construction Management and moved to Denver to study Industrial Design.  Randi received her degree in Fashion Design and moved to Denver for a change from the Midwest.  We found ourselves here in Towanda two months after we saw Duncan Manor for sale on a website dedicated to historic homes.  It did not take us long to realize how special this house is and just how much it means to the community.

Our goal is to reconnect the present, and the future, with the past.  This year we were able to set Duncan Manor up as a 501c3 Not for Profit Organization dedicated to historic preservation through community involvement.

We hope to allow the community access to the Manor and it’s property, on a regular basis, for educational, cultural, and recreational events, classes, gatherings, and tours.

We also have a desire to develop a sustainable landscape that is environmentally appropriate; one that stays true to it’s agricultural prairie setting.  We would like to promote sustainable living through educational experiences and hands on classes.

Duncan Manor has been given a second chance and this chance includes the entire community.  Through collaboration with local businesses, schools, groups, organizations, and individuals, the manor can become the gathering place William Duncan created.

We want it to be a place where each person can relax, be creative, and be themselves.

Welcome to Duncan Manor!
